Readability

1. Smallest difference in weight that can be read on a scale. For digital displays, readability is the smallest division that can be displayed with reasonable reliability at the usual reading distance, or which can be determined with the assistance of an auxiliary device (complementary displaying device). Expressed in units of weight.
2. The minimum height of the numbers on the measuring device display to ensure readability.

Repeatability

Ability of a scale to provide serial results that agree one with the other within a specified tolerance, when the same load is applied in a practically identical way on the load receptor under reasonably constant environmental test conditions.

Resting energy expenditure

Amount of energy a body needs to maintain its respiratory, digestive and cardiovascular systems, etc.; depends on a person's age, height, weight and gender.
