Indication of the weight value of a load placed on a scale after operation of a tare device.

Weight of a weighed object after deduction of the weight of its packaging or of a transport device with which it was weighed.

Scale that requires the intervention of an operator during the weighing process to decide that the weighing result is acceptable.

Neutral and independent body that is nominated by the member states of the EU and according to European Directives isutilisedin conformity evaluation processes. For example, a Notified Body tests and certifies that a non-automatic weighing instrument that is representative of what is planned to be produced in the near future conforms to the guidelines of the Directive on Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments 2014/31/EC.
