Neutral and independent body that is nominated by the member states of the EU and according to European Directives isutilisedin conformity evaluation processes. For example, a Notified Body tests and certifies that a non-automatic weighing instrument that is representative of what is planned to be produced in the near future conforms to the guidelines of the Directive on Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments 2014/31/EC.
